Patakaran sa Pagkapribado

Kung paano kinokolekta, ginagamit, ibinabahagi at pinoprotektahan ng Summio ang iyong impormasyon sa iOS app at website.

Na‑update: May 1, 2026

1. Introduction

Summio (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”).

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Apple ID identifier (a stable, anonymized identifier provided by Sign in with Apple)
  • Name and email address — only if you choose to share them when signing in. If you use “Hide My Email,” we receive an Apple-generated relay address (e.g. [email protected]), not your real email.
  • Profile information you choose to add (display name, username, profile picture, interests)
  • Content you create (summaries, collections, comments, chat messages)
  • Communication data (support requests, feedback)
  • Payment information (processed securely through Apple's App Store; we never see your card details)

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information (model, operating system, language, region, time zone)
  • Identifiers — installation ID, Firebase Installation ID, AppsFlyer ID, and (only with your explicit permission via App Tracking Transparency) the Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA)
  • Usage data (features accessed, time spent, in-app interactions, events)
  • Log data (IP address, access times, crash diagnostics)
  • Marketing attribution data — which ad, campaign, or referral source brought you to Summio. Processed via AppsFlyer (our mobile measurement partner), Apple's SKAdNetwork, and our advertising partners' SDKs.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the Service
  • To personalize your experience and content recommendations
  • To generate AI-powered summaries and chat responses
  • To process transactions and manage subscriptions
  • To send push notifications about your account, content, and activity (via OneSignal)
  • To attribute app installs and in-app events to marketing campaigns and measure their effectiveness (via AppsFlyer, Meta, TikTok, and SKAdNetwork)
  • To detect and prevent fraud, install hijacking, and abuse
  • To improve our Service and develop new features

4. AI-Generated Content

Summio uses artificial intelligence to generate summaries, chat responses, and other content. The text you submit (book titles, YouTube URLs, PDF documents) is processed by our AI systems to create summaries. We do not use your personal content to train AI models. AI-generated summaries are stored in your account and may be shared publicly if you choose to do so.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with the following categories of third parties strictly to operate the Service:

  • Infrastructure providers — Supabase (database), Cloudflare (hosting and edge computing)
  • Authentication — Firebase Authentication (Google LLC), Sign in with Apple (Apple Inc.)
  • AI processing — OpenAI and Google (Gemini) for summary generation and chat
  • Push notifications — OneSignal (delivers and personalizes push messages)
  • Analytics & product insights — Firebase Analytics / Google Analytics for Firebase
  • Mobile measurement & marketing attribution — AppsFlyer (mobile measurement partner), Meta (Facebook) Conversions API, TikTok Events API, and Apple's SKAdNetwork. These services help us measure how people discover Summio, attribute installs and in-app events to advertising campaigns, and detect ad fraud.
  • Other users — Public summaries, comments, and profile information you choose to share
  • Legal requirements — When required by law or to protect our rights

6. Third-Party SDKs and Trackers

The Summio iOS app integrates the following third-party SDKs. Each provider has its own privacy policy:

  • AppsFlyer — AppsFlyer Ltd. Mobile measurement and attribution platform. Receives install events, in-app events, and (only with your ATT permission) the IDFA. Privacy · Opt out
  • Firebase (Authentication, Analytics, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics) — Google LLC. Privacy · Opt out
  • Meta (Facebook) SDK & Conversions API — Meta Platforms, Inc. Used for ad measurement and attribution. Privacy
  • TikTok Events API — TikTok Pte. Ltd. Used for ad measurement and attribution. Privacy
  • OneSignal — OneSignal, Inc. Used to deliver and personalize push notifications. Privacy
  • Apple SKAdNetwork — Privacy-preserving ad attribution maintained by Apple. Privacy
  • Supabase — Supabase Inc. Database and storage. Privacy
  • Cloudflare — Cloudflare, Inc. Hosting and edge computing. Privacy
  • OpenAI & Google (Gemini) — AI processing for summaries and chat. OpenAI Privacy · Google Privacy

7. App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

On iOS 14.5 and later, Summio asks for your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before accessing the Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). The IDFA is used solely to attribute app installs and in-app events through AppsFlyer, Meta, TikTok, and Apple's SKAdNetwork — and to recommend more relevant book and video summaries.

You can change your tracking decision at any time:

  • iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → toggle Summio on or off
  • iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Personalized Ads
  • Inside Summio: Profile → Analytics & Personalization toggles

If you decline tracking, Summio will still work fully — only attribution measurement is limited. We will not access your IDFA, AppsFlyer will operate in restricted mode, and our advertising partners will receive only privacy-preserving signals (such as Apple's SKAdNetwork postbacks).

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), encryption at rest, secure authentication via Firebase, and row-level security on our database. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

9. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Opt out of non-essential data collection (including disabling analytics and tracking inside the app)
  • Withdraw consent for data processing
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].

11. Children's Privacy

Summio is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

12. International Data Transfers

Summio operates globally. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and the European Union. We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data when it is transferred internationally.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
